Project Overview
The Southeast Gateway Line (SGL) Transit Corridor Project is a 14.5 mile light rail transit alignment that connects the City of Artesia in Southeast Los Angeles County to the unincorporated Florence Firestone community and Southeast Los Angeles. It will provide high quality transit for communities within this area. The Southeast Gateway Line will include nine stations, including Slauson/A Line, Pacific/Randolph, Florence/Salt Lake, Firestone, Gardendale, I 105/C Line, Paramount/Rosecrans, Bellflower, and Pioneer. The SGL line is the proposed light rail project managed by LA Metro that will be running through several of the Gateway Cities. The CCTP project is only creating a plan and will not have any construction but is a critical first step for actual construction because it identifies and prioritizes which projects should be built. It will engage with the communities and stakeholders to solicit feedback regarding the needs of its residents and users.
